Nautical Baby Shower

Helloooo,

I just finished my first day back to work after a wonderful week off for Spring Break filled with lots of relaxing, catching up on my shows, sitting on pinterest for hours and visits with some friends and family. I also hosted my first baby shower on Saturday for my best friend who will be welcoming a baby boy in May!

I chose a nautical theme for the shower and luckily when I went out shopping for my gifts for the baby boy, many stores had that theme going on! :)

I started prepping for the shower about a month ago since I only had time to work on it a few nights a week. I started with these banners for my living room that said, " Ahoy!" and "It's a boy!" I printed them out, glued them to cardboard and hung them with twine!

If you are looking for letters for a banner, I got these through the blog Shanty 2 Chic! Here is the link:

For the food/dessert table I used lanterns above the table, made napkins with "lifesavers" and twine, and used blue and white bowls, table covers, trays etc. My lovely friend also made some amazing cupcakes with anchors on them. So sweet!

For the guest signing table and around the house decor I used anchors, a sailboat, twine, pictures of Tonya's pregnancy, vases with twine, and some DIY items.
One of DIY's I prepared was a frame that I had painted and added twine to the back for guests to pin name suggestions to.

I also printed out May from the calendar for guests to use as a sign in where they wrote their name and guesses for the date baby boy will be born and how much he will weigh......we will have to wait and see who guessed right :)
Another two pieces you may have noticed in the pictures are the anchor and sailboat! These two were drawn and cut out by my grandparents and painted by myself to match the colours of the theme! :)

Anywho.....Hope you enjoyed checking out my first baby shower!

Happy Monday!

A week and a half ago, two of my dear friends got married! I was so honoured and blessed to be a part of their big day! :)

The location they chose was in Maple Ridge at Whonnock Lake! Here are some photos of the set up!

I do have the chair covers, sashes, table runners, lanterns, tealights, vases etc. for rent! (beth@scdecor.ca)
