Updates!

Good Evening!

I usually don't post in the evenings but I wanted to get a bit more done on the closet makeover today so I could show you some more pictures!

This was the before:

And this is all the in between:

Unscrewing and dissembling this unit took longer than I thought.

What a mess!

I was left with 37 holes I needed to fill!

So I filled the holes and I cut in the closet with the same grey used in the office (Monday Morning from General Paints).

I also sketched out a plan for the inside (ignore the measurements, they have changed) including where the top would be and some shelves on either side of where I will sit.

To show myself the height and how everything would fit, I mapped it out with some masking tape. :)

The next time I show the closet it will be the final makeover! Hope to have that post up next week!

Below is a sneak peek at what my backyard/patio makeover is looking like so far!

Enjoy your evening! :)

Fridge Makeover!

Good Afternoon!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Since we had a full day to get some things on our to do list finished, we took the opportunity!
We spent all day Saturday getting our backyard cleaned up, worked on the patio, took apart the closet in the office to get it ready for the makeover and possibly went to Home Depot four times to pick up supplies. Also on Sunday evening at about 9:30pm I was feeling crafty so I decided to do a bit of a fridge makeover. I like the idea of having a calendar around for both of us to see that includes our plans, work schedule and when certain bills are due.

I started with some black frames I had and some that I had spray painted black. I brought out some different magnets I had in my office and some very strong glue.

I stuck the magnetic on the back of the frames with a bit of glue.

Over night I stacked some heavy cookbooks on top of the frames to make sure they wouldn't constantly curl up (like above).

In the morning I added some wedding invitations and our calendar (free printable) I got off of this blog. :)

Feels so much more organized!

Tomorrow I will have another post with some pictures of our closet and backyard updates!
Happy Monday!

Fabulous Furniture Finds!

It is already Friday? This week has gone by so fast and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything.
I have accomplished many some things on my to do list but even though the days are longer, mine feel much shorter.

Anyways, I am thankful that it is Friday because now that it is the weekend I have some extra hands (Steve) to help me with getting the backyard finished! Yay! Hope to have that post up next week!

For this week, I would like to share some Fabulous Furniture Finds!
My mama and I sometimes go out searching for vintage or unique pieces of furniture and usually we find the best ones when we aren't even looking at all. Some of them were given to us by family and friends as well.

Here are some pieces unfinished:

If you are interested in any of the pieces, shoot me an email (beth@scdecor.ca) or message me on Facebook :)

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Monday Moodboard for Outdoors!

Hello friends!

So after a crazy week of moving in my brother, finishing a crib, setting up and going to a wedding, and jetting off to Vegas 4 hours after the wedding for 6 days we are finally home (for now).  It was great to get away with just the two of us for a week, which is a first for us! Now it’s back to the grind! The next couple of weeks we will be working on getting some projects done in the house and in our backyard while it’s nice out!

Since the backyard will be one of the first projects finished…here are a few ideas of what it may look like in the end.

Here is my mood board for my backyard!

Also, I'm thinking of painting my front door but can't decide....light blue, mint, yellow or grey? Our siding is already a grey with cream mouldings. Here are some examples.

Happy Monday! Tomorrow I will share my mama's recipe for her pasta salad! Soo good!
